Jaclyn Reutens is a clinical and sports dietitian and the founder of APTIMA Nutrition & Sports Consultants. Having 8 years of experience in the nutrition and dietetics field, she is a nutrition expert in the areas of obesity, diabetes, hypertension, heart diseases, cancer care and sports nutrition.
Formerly working at the Health Promotion Board, she was the spokesperson for nutritional issues on Channel News Asia and played a supportive role in assisting food manufacturers with the development of healthier choice food products.
Besides that, she has also written nutrition articles for various magazines and newpapers such as Women's Weekly, Shape, Her World, Men's Health, Elle and Mind Your Body. (For more information on these nutrition articles, please click here.)
Following that, she went on to work in the Gleneagles and Mount Elizabeth Medical Centres, specialising in weight management and cancer nutrition.
Presently, she is the principal consultant for her clinic located at Gleneagles Medical Centre.
A graduate from the Flinders University of South Australia in 2002, she holds a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics. She is also a certified sports dietitian, awarded by the Sports Dietitians of Australia (SDA) after completing her post graduate at the Australian Institute of Sport. She continues to be an active member of the SDA, and is also a level 2 certified anthropometrist, accredited by International Society for the Advancement of Kinanthropometry (ISAK).
